33rd SEA Games medal tally: Vietnam widens gap with second-placed Indonesia

Host nation Thailand continues to lead the 33rd SEA Games medal tally with 156 golds at the end of the seventh competition day Tuesday, while Vietnam are falling further behind Indonesia.

On the medal tally, Vietnam, with 46 gold medals, are 15 fewer than second-place Indonesia.

Vietnam won 8 more gold medals on Tuesday, including four in athletics.

The country's athletics stars also received VND1 billion (US$38,000) bonus from Vietnam Athletics Federation for repeating their achievements at the last SEA Games in 2023.
