[Part 2/4]

I was sent to a school for the blind when I turned seven. I suddenly lost my grandmother the same year, which came as a big shock to me.

She was the one who took care of me while my mother had to work all day in the fields. The memories of my grandmother haunted my mind almost every night.

The school was about 40 kilometers away from my house, so my mother only visited me one time per month. There was one time, she could not recognize me because I had lost weight and looked like death warmed up. We burst into tears.

After my grandmother passed away, I could barely focus on my studies.

I failed to learn by heart the 29 letters of the alphabet and of course, once again, I had to sit in the class for another year.
