The list, released on Wednesday, features a diverse group of influential figures from various industries. Chosen to write the blurb for Rosé in the list, American actress Lily Collins praised the Blackpink star for her dynamic talent, saying: "She’s such a dynamic performer and songwriter, and I think it’s incredible that she’s able to captivate arenas full of people as both a member of the biggest girl group in the world and also as a solo artist."

"She’s basically the definition of an icon and a boss," Collins added.

Rosé had a standout year in 2024, highlighted by her successful music collaboration with American singer-songwriter Bruno Mars. Their song "APT." broke numerous records, including making Rosé the first female K-pop artist to enter the Billboard Radio Songs Top 10, reaching No. 10, according to Guinness World Records.

It also made Rosé the first K-pop artist to reach No.1 on Apple Music’s Top 100 Global Chart. Additionally, "APT." achieved a record-breaking 15th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart.

Born in New Zealand and raised in Australia, Rosé, 26, signed with South Korean label YG Entertainment after auditioning in 2012. She debuted as a vocalist with Blackpink in 2016 and launched her solo career with the album "R" five years later.

The "Time 100" list was first published in 1999 and has since become an annual event, widely anticipated for its selection of groundbreaking individuals. According to the magazine, those included in the list "embody a breakthrough: they broke the rules, broke the record, broke the silence, broke the boundaries to reveal what we’re capable of. They are seekers, with a fearless willingness to be surprised by what they find."

This year’s list includes high-profile figures like U.S. President Donald Trump, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, screen icons Demi Moore and Adrien Brody, French swimmer Léon Marchand, and Japanese musician Yoshiki.
