Two Vietnamese pro freestyle footballers won the silver medal at the 2022 Super Ball championship held in the Czech Republic.

The performance of Nguyen Danh Quang and Nguyen Anh Tuan in the Double Routine event was scripted and designed by coach Do Kim Phuc, former Asian freestyle football champion. The incorporation of Vietnamese traditional street folk dance into the performance was highly rated by the judge.

With the support of 100 Vietnamese living in the Czech Republic, the two Vietnamese athletes completed their performance flawlessly and scored 25 out of 25 points, which is the same as Japan, whose athletes have been playing freestyle football for 20 years.

However, Japan claimed the gold medal thanks to a better result in the group stage.

This is Vietnam’s first freestyle football medal at an international tournament.

Super Ball is the largest freestyle football tournament with 400 athletes from 45 countries participating. This year's tournament took place August 8-13 at the Clarion Congress Hotel, Prague.

The tournament’s panel of judges came from Chile, Croatia, France, Hungary, and Poland.
