Vietnamese fans will not be able to watch their women’s football team play the Paris Olympics qualifiers since no media company has bought the broadcasting rights.

As of Tuesday, there hasn't been any broadcaster or media company purchasing the rights for this tournament.

The team flew to Uzbekistan on Monday and are expected to start training at the competition venue on Tuesday.

The shortlist of 22 players participating in the tournament was announced on Sunday. The squad have welcomed back captain Huynh Nhu. The striker, who plays for Portuguese club Lank FC, will boost the attack significantly with the younger lot failing to meet expectations.

In the second Asian qualifying round for the 2024 Olympic, Vietnam are in group C and will play hosts Uzbekistan on Oct. 26, India on Oct. 29 and Japan on Nov. 1.

This round has three groups of four teams.

The three group winners and the best second-placed team will advance to the third qualifying round, where they will be divided into two groups.

The two winners will secure Olympic qualification.
