Coach Park attends star footballer's wedding in Hanoi

The couple's wedding party was held at a hotel in Hanoi, two weeks after the ceremony in Hau's hometown Thai Binh Province on Nov. 11. The event gathered many stars from the football and entertainment industry.

Coach Park came to congratulate his student at the party. He wrote some words to Hau on the wedding envelope.

The two had worked together for many years, from the U23 to the national team, with Hau being a key player.

Park, 66, is considered the most successful coach in the history of Vietnamese football. His accolades with the national team included second place at the 2018 U23 Asian Cup, victory at the 2018 AFF Cup, top eight of the 2023 Asian Cup and taking Vietnam to the final World Cup qualifying round for the first time ever.

Star footballers like striker Mac Hong Quan, national team players such as Nguyen Quang Hai, Bui Hoang Viet Anh and Vu Van Thanh also attended the party, along with celebrities like actress Bao Han, singer Hoa Minzy, musician Khac Viet, singer Tuan Hung and many more.

My, 22, made it to the top 10 of the 2020 Miss Vietnam.

Hau, 24, has been a key factor in all Vietnamese football triumphs since 2016, including the 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup qualification, a 2018 U23 Asian Cup runner-up placement, the 2018 AFF Cup title, the 2019 SEA Games gold medal and the squad's advancement to the third qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup.

He joined V-League club Hanoi FC in 2017, where he won six domestic titles between 2018 and 2022, including two V. Leagues, two National Cups in 2020 and 2022, and National Super Cup in 2019 and 2021.

In the 2019-2020 season, Hau was transferred to SC Heerenveen and became the first Vietnamese player to play in the Dutch national championship Eredivisie. But he only had one appearance at the National Cup. In 2023, he signed with CAHN and won the V-League in his first season there.

After the wedding, Hau will travel to Singapore to undergo a surgery to treat his heel injury, which will take from three to six months to recover. He missed Vietnam's two games at the second World Cup qualification round this month, in which they beat the Philippines 2-0 and lost 0-1 to Iraq.
