Pot Au Pho, which opened its doors last year and mainly specializes in serving Vietnam's beloved pho noodle soup, was voted one of best new restaurants in the world by editors of American magazine Condé Nast Traveler.

"At Pot Au Pho, chef Peter Cuong Franklin sets new standards for Vietnam’s beloved noodle soup, his 10-course tasting menu deconstructing pho and then reassembling the iconic bone broth," the magazine said.

Located on the third floor of a building at 89 Ton That Dam Street in District 1, near Nguyen Hue walking street, the restaurant is inspired by French and Japanese culinary cultures.

With a small space of only 14 seats around an open kitchen, customers can interact closely with the chefs.

It serves guests with different pho versions such as traditional beef pho noodle soup, caviar egg pho, molecular pho, truffle pho and le pot au pho that includes wagyu beef, consommé, French puff pastry and Saigon bouquet garni.

The restaurant is open for dinner from Wednesday to Sunday.

In addition to pho, it also serves mi quang, a traditional prawn and pork turmeric noodle soup, and desserts.

The list of best new restaurants also included Le Pristine in Japan, Datil in France, The Devonshire in the U.K., Locavore NXT in Indonesia, Air in Singapore and Le Foote in Australia.
