On the auspicious occasion of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Korea, and in furtherance of the burgeoning economic cooperation between the two nations, VMO had the honor of welcoming delegates representing 21 startup companies from Korea visiting Vietnam on October 11.

During the meeting, Jamie Nguyen, CEO of VMO Global, a representative of VMO Holdings, said there was a comprehensive abundance of highly skilled IT professionals in Vietnam. She emphasized that forging collaborations between businesses of two nations stands out as a prime potential solution to the Korean market’s IT personnel shortage.

The information and communication technology (ICT) sector stands as one of the three pivotal industries propelling Vietnam's economic growth, alongside agriculture and tourism.

"Thanks to the Vietnamese government's support in the ICT sector, development, investing in education, nurturing ICT talents, and promulgating policies and benefits that prioritize the growth of IT businesses are always prioritized focuses," Jamie said.

The proposal put forth by VMO Holdings aims to tap into this thriving IT ecosystem in Vietnam and bridge the personnel gap faced by Korean companies.

As one of the top five ICT companies in Vietnam, boasting a workforce of over 1200 staff, VMO believes the initiative promises to usher in a new era of collaboration and synergy between the two nations. This will be done by leveraging the extensive expertise and cutting-edge capabilities of Vietnamese IT professionals.

The meeting saw an enthusiastic response from Korean companies that recognized the strategic value and potential transformative impact of the proposed IT solution from VMO Holdings.

Professor Eliot Shin, a visiting professor at Hanoi's Foreign Trade University, director of the school's Innovation and Incubation Space (FIIS), and a representative of Impact Pathway, Korea, highly appreciated the response from the representative of VMO Holdings as she provided a compelling solution addressing the nuanced differences in working methodologies between the two countries, which is a big concern for many Korean businesses.
