U.S. YouTube millionaire Mike Black abandoned his social experiment, which aimed to demonstrate that anyone could earn $1 million in just 12 months.

Black, owner of Told Media, a software development agency with seven figures in revenue, launched this venture to embody the principles he teaches in his online business mentoring programs, according to Metro.

But he fell short of his goal, quitting the project after 10 months having made just $64,000 because "health and family come first".

In 2020 he launched a project named the "Million Dollar Comeback Challenge," with the goal of starting a new business and growing it to a $1 million valuation.

His experiment was to prove that creating wealth doesn’t necessarily need initial capital but relies on dedication, hard work, and business savvy.

Initially, Black struggled after giving up his house, car, and established life. He was refused water and found nowhere to stay overnight. His luck changed when a van owner offered him shelter, and he earned his first $300 by selling furniture online, according to The Mirror.

Within five days, he made enough money to buy a computer. By two weeks, he had secured office space, and shortly thereafter, he started renting a place. Three months into the challenge, he began working as a social media manager and launched his own coffee brand.

However, on day 138, Black reconsidered his priorities upon learning that his father had colon cancer. He then decided to terminate the project, stating: "Health and family were much more important than the challenge so I decided to stop the whole project."
