Saigon Jewelry Company's gold bar price fell 0.63% to VND79.5 million ($3,135.47) per tael Tuesday morning.

Gold ring price dropped 0.06% to VND77.15 million per tael. A tael equals 37.5 grams or 1.2 ounces.

Globally gold prices firmed on Monday as the dollar eased following U.S. President Joe Biden's decision to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race, with investors turning to bullion as a hedge against an uncertain political and market outlook.

Spot gold rose 0.2% at $2,405.40 per ounce, while U.S. gold futures gained 0.3% to $2,407.20.
