The model, manufactured in Italy, was imported by a dealership in HCMC’s District 5 and sold at twice the price of the basic SH 125i of VND74-83.4 million.
Imports of Honda SH used to be common until 2016 when the Japanese company began assembling it at its plant in Vinh Phuc Province.
Nonetheless, limited edition models are still imported from Thailand, Indonesia and Europe by private dealerships, who sell them at high prices to wealthy buyers.
In late 2023 the limited Vespa 946 10° Anniversarios model was sold by private dealerships at nearly VND700 million before being officially launched at VND425 million.
Since the SH 125i Vetro will not be officially sold in Vietnam, its price can shoot up later on the secondary market.
