Pham Thi Hoa, chairwoman of healthcare service provider Sen Tai Thu, has been arrested for falsifying the company’s charter capital value to mobilize VND1 trillion ($40.7 million) from investors.

Her daughter and the company CEO, Nguyen Thi Lan Huong, and another daughter Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh, were also arrested in Hanoi on Monday for alleged fraudulent appropriation of assets.

The police said that from 2018 to May 2023, Sen Tai Thu recorded large debts and was at risk of insolvency.

Hoa and her two daughters therefore took advantage of the brand and used false data of charter capital, revenues and profits to mobilize VND1 trillion illegally.

Sen Tai Thu was established in 1992. It has eight facilities in Hanoi, the northern province of Thai Binh and the central city of Da Nang, all specialized in traditional medical practice.
