CapitaLand Development (CLD) Vietnam received 7 awards across both the developer and development categories at the prestigious PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards (VPA) 2023 on Nov. 10.

In the developer category, CLD clinched the top title of Best Developer for the third time and earned the distinction of Best Sustainable Developer for the second time.

It also received special recognition for "Sustainable Design and Construction" and "Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)."

In the development category, CLD’s latest high-end residential project in the west of Hanoi, Lumi Hanoi, bagged three accolades: Best High-End Condo Development (Hanoi), Best High-End Condo Architectural Design, and Best Condo Landscape Design.

Ronald Tay, CEO of CLD Vietnam, said the company is deeply honored to be recognized at PropertyGuru VPA 2023 with seven coveted awards, which serve as a resounding testament to CLD’s position as a leading and trusted developer of choice with close to three decades of presence in Vietnam.

"To repay the support of our customers and partners, we will continue to uphold high standards of excellence and innovation across our projects, with the aim of enhancing the lives of residents and fostering vibrant communities where we operate," Tay said.

Over the years, CLD has been consistently implementing environmentally conscious designs, using low-impact construction materials, and installing energy- and waste-efficient systems for its developments.

To date, nine of CLD’s projects in Vietnam have received green certifications, including Feliz en Vista, d’Edge Thao Dien, and Vista Verde in HCMC, as well as Mulberry Lane and Seasons Avenue in Hanoi.

Among them, Heritage West Lake in Hanoi, De La Sol, and DEFINE in HCMC are set to be green-certified by Singapore’s Building & Construction Authority, while SYCAMORE in Binh Duong New City has just received the EDGE Preliminary Certificate.

Since 2007, CLD, through CapitaLand Group’s philanthropic arm, CapitaLand Hope Foundation (CHF), has supported various programs to improve school facilities, access to education, and nutritional needs of students in Vietnam.

To date, CLD and CHF have contributed towards the refurbishment of four primary schools and kindergartens in Phu Tho, Long An, and Hung Yen provinces under the CapitaLand Hope School Programme, benefiting more than 1,400 children.

The refurbishment of the fifth school supported by the program is expected to be completed in 2024's last quarter in Bac Giang Province.

Lumi Hanoi, CLD’s latest high-end residential project in the west of Hanoi, won three awards at PropertyGuru VPA 2023 in the design and development categories for its distinctive design, lush greenery, and comprehensive facilities that cater to the needs and aspirations of discerning homebuyers.

Lumi Hanoi is designed by renowned French architect Jean-François Milou of Studio Milou, who is also behind the designs of multiple award-winning projects such as the National Gallery of Singapore and the National Theatre Center in Saint Etienne, France. Recently, Studio Milou ranked first in the architectural design contest for the HCMC Opera House in Thu Thiem, Thu Duc City. Lumi Hanoi is Jean-François Milou’s first residential project in Vietnam.

Inspired by "lumière", the French word for light, Lumi Hanoi is conceptualized to embody the radiance and warmth of the sun, the source of life, and a symbol of positivity.

This "city of lights" concept underpins the different parts that make up this project: a sustainable community that harmonizes the well-being of its residents, the beauty of nature, and the power of technology to become a beacon of Hanoi’s bright future.

The architecture and landscape of Lumi Hanoi follow this light inspiration, with the façade of the different towers thoughtfully curated to break the monotony and provide visual delight, while the landscape is themed after celestial elements such as the sun, aurora, and stella.

Lumi Hanoi consists of about 4,000 units across nine towers that range from 29 to 35 storeys. The project will be developed in phases and will offer a wide selection of unit types, ranging from 42 square meters (sq m) for a one-bedroom unit to 135 sq m for a four-bedroom unit. There are also duplex units and penthouses ranging from 115 sq m to 410 sq m in size.
