Rapper BamBam, member of K-pop boyband GOT7, said he was in love with Vietnamese food, especially rice paper salad and balut, during a fan meeting in HCMC.

The 26-year-old singer said Friday he missed Vietnamese cuisine after trying for the first time when visiting with GOT7 in 2018. When BamBam got off the plane, he immediately updated on his social media what dishes he was keen to enjoy.

"I would really like to eat balut, quail and banh trang tron (rice paper salad)," BamBam wrote and added that his mother, who accompanied him on the trip, is also interested in Vietnamese culture.

Throughout the event, BamBam sent love to fans for Vietnam Women’s Day on October 20.

BamBam chose HCMC as his next stop in the AREA52 World Tour, which took place on Saturday night at Nguyen Du Gymnasium. The tour has also visited Seoul, Manila, Macau and Kurla Lumpur.

The singer was a bit nervous as this time he did not share the stage with other GOT7 members, but was still confident to go solo.

"I’m eager to sing. Let’s give each other positive energy," he said before the show.

Thousands of fans came to the show and BamBam did not disappoint as he performed hits including "Satellites", "Pandora", "Slow Mo" and "Lullaby".

BamBam also got the fans excited with a cover of hit Vietnamese song "Thich Em Hoi Nhieu" (Like You A Lot) by Wren Evans. He nailed the pronunciation of the Vietnamese lyrics and even sang the song twice.

BamBam's real name is Kunpimook Bhuwakul Bambam. He is a Thai rapper, singer, songwriter and music producer based in South Korea. He was a member of the dance group We Zaa Cool in Thailand before becoming one of the seven members of GOT7.

He started his solo career with his debut album titled "riBBon" in 2021, with hits like "Slow Mo" and "Sour & Sweet".
