K-pop sensation TEMPEST to hold first concert in Ho Chi Minh City in June

A representative from the event’s organizing committee explained that Ho Chi Minh City is slated to be the initial stop on the group’s global tour "T-OUR: TEMPEST Voyage." Ticket sales will begin on May 11, with further details such as the setlist, ticket pricing, and seating arrangements to be provided later.

"The team has conducted extensive research on the location and various other factors prior to choosing Ho Chi Minh City as the venue," the representative noted. "We are aiming for the concert to achieve both our revenue and audience impact objectives."

Vietnamese musician Huy Tuan, who is producing the show, expressed his belief that hosting the first concert of a K-pop group in Ho Chi Minh City will help establish Vietnam as a new cultural center in the region.

The announcement of TEMPEST’s upcoming performance in Ho Chi Minh City has generated considerable excitement among their fans. On a group’s fan forum, a user posted: "Many K-pop groups usually have their debut live concert in their home country, but they opted for Vietnam. No matter how hot Ho Chi Minh City may be, I will be there."

Another fan added: "I hope Hanbin sings many Vietnamese songs."

TEMPEST first visited Ho Chi Minh City in December 2023 to take part in the HOZO International Music Festival, which attracted thousands of attendees.

The group, which was formed in March 2022, is composed of seven members: Hanbin, Hyeongseop, Hyuk, Eunchan, Lew, Hwarang, and Taerae. Among them, Hanbin, 26, is Vietnamese and hails from the northern province of Yen Bai.

Since their debut, TEMPEST has received multiple accolades at various Korean music award events, including the Genie Music Awards 2022, Asia Artist Awards 2022, Seoul Music Awards 2023, Hanteo Music Awards 2022, and MAMA 2023.
