Beauty queen accompanies footballer husband to Singapore for injury treatment

Having been focusing on treating his injury to return to the football pitch, Hau left Vietnam for Singapore last weekend, with his new wife accompanying him.

Hau was diagnosed with an enthesitis injury in his right heel in Sep. and was put on the injured list for several months. His most recent game was the last game of the 2023 V. League season in August, in which his club Hanoi Police FC drew with Thanh Hoa FC 1-1 to win the title.

Hau underwent a check-up in Singapore last month prior to his wedding. It is reported that all of the costs for treatment in Singapore will be paid for by his club.

The newlyweds spent their first days in Singapore exploring famous tourist attractions. They headed to a department store to shop and dropped by a Michelin starred restaurant owned by Gordon Ramsay, as well as took photos together to save their memories.

Hau, 24, gained popularity after his early-career performances made him a regular starter on the national football team. His play contributed to Vietnam winning the 2018 SEA Games.

He and My, 22, began dating a few months after My competed in the 2020 Miss Vietnam contest.

The couple publicized their relationship in 2022 before officially tying the knot last month.

Following a traditional engagement ceremony in Hanoi and a wedding ceremony in Hau’s hometown in the northern Thai Binh province on Nov. 11, the couple held a second wedding ceremony in Hanoi on Nov. 26.
