China Party leader, President Xi Jinping arrives in Hanoi for two-day state visit

China's General Secretary of the Communist Party and President Xi Jinping has come to Vietnam for a two-day state visit from April 14 to 15.

The China's top leader landed in Hanoi's Noi Bai Airport around noon on Monday upon a formal reception.

Xi, dressed in a blue vest, waved to the gathered crowd as he disembarked the plane at 11:57 a.m. He was greeted by Vietnamese President Luong Cuong and several other high-ranking officials.

The welcoming ceremony featured a performance from a drum art group from the People's Police Academy, alongside women wearing traditional Vietnamese outfits.

Xi was then escorted to his motorcade for transport to the Marriott Hotel in Hanoi's Nam Tu Liem District.

Accompanying him during the visit is a distinguished delegation of Chinese officials, including Cai Qi, the first-ranked secretary of the Secretariat of the Chinese Communist Party; Wang Yi, Director of the Central Committee’s Foreign Affairs Commission Office; Wang Xiaohong, Minister of Public Security; and Liu Jianchao, Head of the International Liaison Commission of the CPC Central Committee. Also part of the delegation are Dong Jun, Minister of National Defense, and other senior officials.
