Vietnam administrative overhaul: Planned mergers to reduce 63 cities and provinces to 34

The 13th Party Central Committee, during its 11th plenary session concluded on Saturday, agreed to reduce the number of provincial-level administrative units nationwide from 63 to 34. This will be achieved by maintaining 11 cities and provinces while merging the rest.
