Global steel crisis: Vietnam imposes higher tarrif while U.S. leads calls to end China's excess supply

As China shaked off its surplus steel abroad, Vietnam's domestic market has been inundated with shipments from the neighboring country. Vietnam is hardly alone in the face of this global steel surplus. The U.S. and seven other countries called on Tuesday for urgent action, a day after China and other major steel producers failed to agree on measures to tackle an industry crisis.
