Vietnam defeat Myanmar to win SEA Games football bronze medal

Vietnam won the SEA Games 32 men's football bronze medal after beating Myanmar 3-1 on Tuesday.

After losing the semifinal against Indonesia, Vietnam entered the bronze medal match without any pressure. The team’s playing style was accurate and coherent, and they found the early goal in the ninth minute with Ho Van Cuong’s strike.

Meanwhile, Myanmar struggled with linking up and couldn’t attack much. They let Vietnam exploited the two flanks and created many chances. In the 36th minute, the second goal come when Nguyen Van Do set up Ho Van Cuong to score his second goal, a powerful finish.

In the second half, Vietnam kept on attacking and as a result, they got the third goal with another attack from the flank and this time the finisher was Khuat Van Khang.

After conceding the third goal, Vietnam continued to attack but missed a few chances.

Myanmar got one back in the 89th minute with Aung Myo’s header, but the remaining time was not enough for them to score more, and Vietnam concluded their SEA Games 32 football journey with a bronze medal.
