The photo shows Madam Pang looking visibly tired at Bumrungrad International Hospital. In a short caption posted in Thai, which roughly translates to "completely exhausted," she hinted at her physical and mental fatigue, prompting concerns from fans.
Within an hour, the post had garnered over 18,000 reactions, along with thousands of supportive comments and shares from fans, friends and Thai netizens.
"Wishing you a speedy recovery," a user commented.
"You’re the energy behind Thai football, stay strong," a fan wrote.
"Even when you’re tired, you keep smiling. You’re so strong," another commented.
Madam Pang has not disclosed the reason for her hospitalization or details about her health.
Earlier on Wednesday, she announced that she had spent 25 million baht ($745,000) of her own money to help FAT pay a deposit payment following its legal defeat to media company Siam Sport. In this case, FAT was ordered to pay Siam Sport a staggering 360 million baht ($10.72 million). The deposit payment will help FAT avoid asset seizure from law enforcement.
Madam Pang, 59, real name Nualphan Lamsam, hails from one of Thailand’s most prominent and wealthiest families that has a net worth of US$890 million, according to Forbes.
A popular figure in both business and sports, she is one of the most influential people in Thailand. In February 2024, she made history by becoming the first woman to serve as president of FAT and the first woman in Asia to lead a football federation.
