Vietnam got three points in the opening game of SEA Games 31 on Friday night with a 3-0 victory over Indonesia.

Vietnam entered the opening game of SEA Games 31 against Indonesia with the determination to get three points.

They dominated right at the start with many chances created. But the first half ended goalless with many yellow cards given to both teams.

In the second half, Vietnam kept attacking while Indonesia remained in defensive play, and the goals came as a result.

Le Van Do set up Nguyen Tien Linh for a tap-in and opened the score for Vietnam. 20 minutes later, the lead is doubled when Vietnam captain Do Hung Dung finished cleanly with the outside of his foot to beat Indonesia keeper Adi Satryo.

Vietnam got another goal in the 87th minute when Le Van Do took a long-range shot that lacked power, but it surprisingly went in when keeper Satryo didn’t react.

The game ended with a 3-0 win and the first three points for Vietnam in SEA Games 31.
