The T2 international terminal at Da Nang Airport, one of world's 100 best according to Skytrax, is decorated with sparkling lights and Christmas trees to cheer up the festive atmosphere.

Da Nang will host its first-ever Christmas and New Year Festival 2025 from Dec. 14 to Jan. 2, featuring unique cultural and entertainment activities to impress locals and tourists.

To enrich experience for foreign tourists, Christmas decorations are available at the T2 terminal from now until Jan. 3, 2025.

In April, Da Nang ranked 94th in a list of world's 100 best airports as part of the Skytrax World Airport Awards 2024, which are based on passenger satisfaction surveys covering a range of categories, including check-in, arrivals, transfers, shopping, security, immigration, and departure.

The miniature landscape on the right side of the terminal's main entrance is adorned with a golden ball, six pine trees decorated with multicolored LED lights, and a herd of reindeer reflected in the lake.

At the entrance to the international passenger terminal features a 10-meter-tall pine tree surrounded by a herd of reindeer and a cascading waterfall at its center.

"This is one of the earliest Christmas decoration spots in Da Nang, bringing a lively and festive atmosphere," Huong said.

Linh said this year the terminal is decorated more splendidly than ever, which prompted her and her family to come and enjoy it.

At night, Da Nang Airport welcomes thousands of international visitors, primarily from South Korea, Macau, and Europe.

In the first 10 months of 2024, the airport welcomed over 13.4 million passengers, including 6.2 million international and 7.2 million domestic travelers.

The arrival gate area features a Christmas-themed photospot, attracting international visitors who capture memorable moments as soon as they arrive in Da Nang.

In January 2024, the T2 terminal achieved 5-star certification from Skytrax.

The staircases, walkways for passengers to see off their loved ones at the terminal or waiting rooms, and the car park outside are all decorated with "light paths."

"We want to create a warm and exciting festive atmosphere so that the terminal is an attractive destination, not just a transit point for passengers," said Do Trong Hau, deputy general director of Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Company.

Tran Thi Kim Lien, 27, from Thua Thien Hue that borders Da Nang, arrived at the terminal to see her mother-in-law off to the U.S.

"This space is stunning. I spent nearly an hour visiting and taking photos with the terminal's Christmas decorations," she said.

Dana Miguel, a tourist from the Philippines, captures photos of her travel companion on the terminal's staircase.
