The highlight of the street is a pair of dragons facing the HCMC People’s Committee building.
Each dragon is around 120 meters long, making them the longest mascots ever built on the city’s Tet flower street the past 21 years.
The dragons intertwine for the most part of the street, creating beautiful patterns 10 meters above people walking on the street.
At the end of the street, facing the Saigon River, is a dragon that flies over more than 1,000 square meters. The dragon is made mostly of bamboo and other environmentally friendly materials.
According to the designers, the dragon mascots on Nguyen Hue carry the styles of dragon statues from Vietnam's royal families Ly, Tran and Nguyen.
