On Feb. 20, the husband reported that his wife started experiencing severe stomach pain at home. Just 20 minutes into their journey to the hospital for childbirth, the pain intensified, compelling them to halt on the roadside for a delivery.
Isolated and without assistance, the husband simultaneously monitored his wife and communicated with the emergency hotline of Hung Thinh General Hospital, located over 10 km from their location.

Upon the emergency call, medical personnel guided the laboring mother through calming breathing techniques as they dispatched an ambulance. Remarkably, the baby was born within a minute.
Dr. Nguyen Quang Minh, head of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Hung Thinh General Hospital, noted the rarity of a 34-year-old, third-time pregnant woman at 39 weeks showing sudden labor signs en route.
By the time the medical team arrived, the husband had successfully delivered their baby girl, weighing 3.1 kg. The team quickly tended to the newborn, cutting the umbilical cord and ensuring both mother and baby were stable before transporting them to the hospital.
Both mother and child are currently in stable condition.
