The video features Wang making his way through the crowd of fans, who had waited for him outside of a building, to get into his car. As he got halfway into the vehicle, a woman, whose face was covered with a mask, suddenly approached, grabbed his back, and pulled him out of the car.

The singer was left stunned after the woman’s move, and only until that moment did his security guard appear to pull the woman away, reported The Straits Times.

His Thai fanclub subsequently posted an announcement on their Twitter account, in which they apologized for the incident, asked the event organizers to provide a better protection system, and reminded others to respect the artist’s privacy.

Wang experienced another unpleasant moment with an overzealous fan in Brazil in May, when he was groped by her after inviting her to the stage.

Wang, 29, started his career in the entertainment industry as a member of the K-pop boy group Got7. He is now active as a rapper, singer, dancer, and fashion designer.

He is currently the Chinese celebrity with the highest number of followers on Instagram, with 32.7 million as of July 2023.
