Mrs Russia faces backlash for not looking like her Instagram photos

People have been suggesting that the winner of the Mrs Russia pageant, Oskar, 34, from the city of Khabarovsk, has undergone plastic surgery after seeing her during her coronation at an event on Tuesday and comparing her appearance with photos on her Instagram account, reported the Telegraph.

The beauty pageant’s organizers had to speak up in defense of Oskar, citing "bad angles" as the reason.

"She looks really beautiful in our official photos," said Irina Kirsanova, the representative of the organizers.

"It was a bad photo, taken from a bad, low angle. She’s very different. Everyone in the jury saw her and loved her."

Responding to the reactions from the public, Oskar said she did not care about them and denied accusations of going under the knife.

Oskar is currently working as an English teacher and living in the far east of Russia with her family.
