Clad in vests and armed with various tools, the six perpetrators arrived at the house in the evening of Feb. 22, informing the Bangladeshi man and seven other foreigners present they were there "to conduct an operation," according to the Straits Times.

The conmen then confiscated cash and personal belongings from the foreigners at the home, according to the report.
"The victim and seven other foreigners were told to sit in the living room while being guarded by two of the suspects. The other suspects proceeded to ransack the house and took cash, jewelry, mobile phones and personal documents belonging to the foreigners," a Malaysian police officer named Azam Ismail said.
The victim promptly filed a police report following the incident.
As a result of the police investigation, four men aged 30-44 were arrested in Kuala Lumpur on Feb. 23, Azam stated.
The police also seized 31 mobile phones, vests with the words "Polis" (Police), cash and three cars, reported Malaysian newspaper The Star on Feb. 25.
