Billionaire Mukesh Ambani's heir to celebrate pre-wedding with sweetheart this weekend

The Daily Mail reports that the celebration will take place in the picturesque setting of Jamnagar, Gujarat as a prelude to their July 12 wedding.

The Times of India has indicated that the event will attract a host of celebrities from the business, technology, and entertainment sectors, with VIPs like Bill and Melinda Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Ivanka Trump, and members of the Bhutanese royal family expected to attend.

Bollywood’s elite, such as Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan, and Alia Bhatt, are also set to enhance the glamor of the event.

Invitations circulating on social media unveil the Ambanis’ warm invitation: "With hearts full of joy and excitement, we invite you to the pre-wedding celebrations of Anant and Radhika at our home in Jamnagar."

"We look forward to having you with us to share in our joy, love, and laughter, and create memories that we’ll cherish forever."

The celebration is scheduled to begin with an "Evening in Everland"-themed cocktail party on March 1.

Guests will experience a "walk on the wild side" at the groom’s extensive Reliance animal rescue center the following day. This center is home to more than 2,000 animals across 650 acres. Later that day, they will enjoy the "Mela Rogue" event, where attendees are encouraged to wear "azzling desi romance" attire.

For the third day, attendees are advised to bring "casual chic" attire for the Tusker Trails, suggesting a local exploration. The concluding ceremony, a Hashtakshar meaning "signature," requires guests to dress in traditional outfits like sherwanis and sarees.

Citing The Times, the Daily Mail adds that international pop and R&B icons Rihanna and Punjabi music sensation Diljit Dosanjh are set to perform, reminiscent of global star Beyoncé’s performance at the 2018 wedding of Anant’s sister Isha Ambani.

Radhika Merchant, 29, is identified as the daughter of Shri Viren Merchant, CEO of Encore Healthcare.

Anant Ambani, 28, is the youngest son of Mukesh Ambani who helms Reliance Industries, a conglomerate with revenues of US$110 billion.

Forbes pegs Mukesh Ambani’s net worth at US$116 billion as of Feb. 27, 2024.

The couple are said to be childhood friends and attended university in the U.S.
