Ha wrote in her letter: "I feel so bad for not being able to join you on your big day. Please don’t be mad at me."
The actress added that she felt happy as Hang had found her partner. She and her husband would want to invite Hang and her conductor husband over for dinner in the near future.
"I felt happy from the bottom of my heart the day you shared your good news," Ha wrote. "I wish you a new journey full of laughter, love, and happiness."
Ha also said she had always been following Hang’s whereabouts despite the fact that the two have not frequently socialized.
Hang posted the photo of Ha’s gift and letter to her social media account. She said she was touched with what Ha said.
Ha, 37, started her career in the entertainment industry aged 16. She has cut down her on screen activities since she got married to Louis Nguyen, son of luxury retailer mogul Jonathan Hanh Nguyen, in 2012.
Hang, full name Pham Thi Thanh Hang, 40, was born in Da Nang. She became Miss Photo Vietnam in 2002, then began a professional modeling career. She has hosted the reality show Vietnam's Next Top Model for many years, and she also coached the 2018 reality show The Face.
The model announced earlier this month that she said yes to her boyfriend’s proposal and the couple would hold their wedding ceremony in October.
Her groom-to-be’s identity was later revealed to be conductor Tran Nhat Minh, 42, who graduated with a master’s degree in Russia and is currently working at the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera.
Ha and Hang got close after appearing in the movie "My Nhan Ke" (The Beauty Trap) together in 2013.
