The move comes after British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced in July that the fees and health surcharge paid towards the U.K.'s National Health Service by visa applicants are set to rise "significantly" to meet the country's public sector wage increase, according to a press release from the Home Office.
Currently, the fee for a visit visa for stays of up to six months costs £100.
The fee for visit visas with stays of up to two years, five years, and 10 years would increase to £770, £960, and £1,000.
