Australian travel magazine Holidays with Kids listed Alma Resort Cam Ranh and The Anam in Cam Ranh beach town in central Vietnam among the world's 10 best family-friendly destinations.

Alma Resort Cam Ranh came in third while The Anam was fifth in the Holidays with Kids Reader’s Choice Best Family Resorts Awards based on voting of a panel of experts and readers.

Located along Long Beach on the Cam Ranh coast, Alma Resort, around 40 kilometers from Nha Trang beach town, has 384 rooms and 194 villas surrounded by green trees.

It also has 12 swimming pools, a selection of water sports, a wave pool and lazy river plus an activity-packed kids' club and youth club for teens.

"Accommodation in suites and pavilions offers mesmerizing ocean views, with plenty of space for families," the magazine wrote.

Some other highlights of the resort are a science museum, movie theater, kite-flying hill and 18-hole golf.

The Anam resort boasts a harmonious combination between classical French architecture and traditional Vietnamese design.

The resort has 77 villas and 136 rooms with large outdoor balconies or terraces, overlooking sandy beaches or bougainvillea-colored gardens.

"Kids can head to the kids' club or take part in daily water sports, yoga and tennis. This five-star resort has indoor and outdoor movie theaters that screen a selection of movies daily. The hotel staff can also organize a fishing excursion in a traditional Vietnamese boat or several cultural experiences," it noted.

Atlantis Dubai in the United Arab Emirates topped the list, followed by Disneyland Hotel in France.
