The waiver from April 15 to October 15 would make it more convenient for foreign tourists seeking to enter the country and ease congestion at key checkpoints, Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin said at a recent Cabinet meeting.
The form was permanently canceled for foreigners arriving by air in July 2022.
Thailand hopes to receive 35-36 million foreign visitors this year.
It received 9.3 million in the first quarter, a 44% jump year-on-year, the Tourism and Sports Ministry said.
