On Monday, Bottle posted a video on his YouTube channel showing the Korean TV personality lying on the ground after he got into a traffic accident in the outlying district of Cu Chi, around 70 kilometers from downtown HCMC.
In the video, Bottle said they planned to camp out on the last day in the city and both rented motorbikes to reach the camping site.
Chul was traveling ahead of Bottle when he hit another motorbike and fell to the ground.
Seeing Chul's face bleeding, Bottle shouted, "Help me," and local residents called an ambulance, which arrived 30 minutes later and Chul was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The doctors told the Korean entertainer that he didn't require surgery but that he needed to let his scar heal.
Both soon wrapped up their holiday in Vietnam and returned to South Korea.
In the video, Bottle also thanked the Vietnamese people who supported them in a time of need.
Chu is famous for serving as the co-host of the variety show "Talents for Sale." He previously appeared on the television programs "Infinite Challenge" and "I Live Alone."
Since Vietnam reopened its border in March 2022, South Korea has become the country's largest source of foreign visitors.
In 2022, Vietnam received 965,000 South Korean tourists, around 30% of pre-pandemic levels.
