A series of Asian celebrities, including Chinese actor and martial artist Vincent Zhao, have recently visited Phu Quoc, boosting its global profile.

Vietnam's largest island has set a target of serving 7 million tourists this year, including 1 million foreigners.

Last year, it was voted the world's second most beautiful island by readers of the American magazine Travel + Leisure, trailing only the Maldives.
