Which Southeast Asian country was named the best diving destination for Vietnamese travelers?

Thailand, renowned for its diverse marine life, crystal-clear waters, and world-class dive sites, has been named the top diving destination for Vietnamese tourists, according to a survey by digital travel platform Agoda.

Indonesia ranked second, followed by Malaysia and the Philippines, reflecting a growing interest among Vietnamese travelers in exploring the underwater world.

Thailand's waters are home to a wide variety of marine species, such as whale sharks, manta rays, several shark species, and vibrant reef fish.

Top diving spots in the country include the Similan Islands, Koh Tao, and Koh Lipe.

The best time for diving in the Similan Islands and around Phuket is typically from November to April, with some liveaboard trips operating from late October to early May.

Gede Gunawan, senior country director at Agoda said Asia is home to some of the world’s most popular diving destinations and remains a favorite among divers.
