Top 10 hotels in Vietnam as voted by Tripadvisor readers

JW Marriott Hotel on Do Duc Duc Street in Hanoi's Nam Tu Liem District was voted the best hotel in Vietnam, according to the annual ranking compiled by the U.S. online booking site Tripadvisor, based on millions of reviews and opinions collected.
Located near many of Hanoi's tourist hotspots like the Old Quarter, night market and Hoa Lo Prison, the hotel was built in 2013 and has 450 rooms and suites. In 2016, U.S. President Barack Obama stayed at the hotel during his visit to Hanoi.
"Excellent service from the reception department," a Tripadvisor user commented.

Dalat Edensee Lake Resort & Spa in the Central Highlands resort town of Da Lat came second in the list. It stands by Tuyen Lam Lake and just 30 kilometers from Lien Khuong Airport.
Put into operation in 2011, the hotel has 112 rooms and offers guests a breathtaking view of Tuyen Lam, the largest freshwater lake in Da Lat, with small oases surrounded by pine forests.
"Perfect spot for family peace seekers," a Tripadvisor user said.

Sherwood Suites on Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 3, a high-end serviced residence, came third on the list.
The property, managed by Windsor Property Management Group Corporation (WMC Group), boasts 157 apartments ranging from studio, one to two-bedroom units to penthouses.
"One of the best serviced homes for family stays," a Tripadvisor user noted.

In fourth position was five-star Sheraton Hanoi Hotel boasting 299 spacious rooms.
Inspired by Vietnamese and French colonial decor and designed with soaring ceilings, each room represents a cultural aspect of Hanoi.
The hotel is on the shores of Hanoi's West Lake and just a few steps from popular tourist destinations.

The 12,000-square-meter Chicland Hotel, a few steps from famous My Khe Beach in the central city of Da Nang, stood in fifth position.
Designed by renowned architect Vo Trong Nghia, the hotel is covered like a vertical garden and was shortlisted for the World Architecture Festival (WAF) in 2018, considered the Oscars of the architecture world.
"Distinctly green outer building," a Tripadvisor user said.

Another Da Nang respresentative, Vinpearl Resort & Spa is sixth on the list. It consists of 122 villas with a classical style, private pools, and wide-reaching ocean views over the long, sandy Non Nuoc Beach.

La Veranda Resort Phu Quoc - MGallery Collection on Phu Quoc, Vietnam's largest island off the southern province of Kien Giang, came seventh on the list.
The hotel boasts a style reminiscent of a 1920s French mansion, and is located in tropical gardens on a beautiful stretch of beach with 70 rooms, two restaurants, a lounge bar, swimming pool, water sports and spa.
"A very beautiful, charming, centrally located resort with good and very friendly service," a Tripadvisor user said.

Located on Hon Tre Island in Nha Trang Bay, considered among the world's most beautiful, Vinpearl Luxury Nha Trang secured the eighth spot.
The hotel offers 84 coastal villas and gives tourists a chance to explore the pristine beauty of Hon Tre Island, famous for scuba-diving. The only way to reach the hotel is by boat.

The InterContinental Hanoi Landmark 72, the tallest luxury 5-star hotel in Hanoi, was voted the country's ninth best.
The hotel opened in 2017 in Keangnam Hanoi Landmark Tower in Cau Giay District with 359 luxury rooms and 34 suites.

The 10th position was won by Vinpearl Resort & Spa Ha Long on Reu Island in Ha Long Bay.
Built in 2015, the hotel has 384 rooms, five restaurants, three private beaches and entertainment areas for kids.
From the hotel, visitors can take a cruise trip to explore Ha Long Bay and its lesser-known sister Bai Tu Long Bay.
