Taiwan's Taoyuan International Airport has outperformed Singapore's Jewel Changi to become world's friendliest airport as voted by U.K.-based travel services company Airport Parking & Hotels.

The report found that 73.6% of passenger reviews mentioning staff at Taoyuan were positive, placing it ahead of Cornwall Newquay Airport in the U.K. (73.3%) and Japan's Narita International Airport (73.1%).

Jewel Changi Airport ranked 17th, with 65.7% of passengers making positive reviews of its staff.

To compile the list, Airport Parking & Hotels analyzed more than 71,000 Google reviews posted from May 20 to late August that mentioned airport staff at the world's 100 busiest airports and 23 of the U.K.'s busiest.

Within these reviews, it specifically searched for words relaying positive experiences such as "friendly", "polite", "helpful" and "professional" in order to rank the friendliest overall.

The most commonly used words to describe positive staff experiences in Taoyuan include "friendly" (129 reviews), "helpful" (106 reviews) and "efficient" (42 reviews), according to the report.

Other Asian airports in the top 10 included South Korea's Jeju and Dubai.
