Muscat International Airport has surpassed 11 other rivals, including Singapore's Changi Airport, to be crowned the world's leading airport in terms of customer experience at this year's World Travel Awards.

This marks the third consecutive year that Muscat has claimed the title.

Covering more than 2,000 hectares, Muscat International Airport is located in Seeb, approximately 32 km from the historic city and capital Muscat, within the Muscat metropolitan area.

The airport offers flights to several regional destinations, as well as intercontinental services to Asia, Africa, and Europe.

The World Travel Awards, established in 1993, recognize excellence in the global travel and tourism industry and are often referred to as the "Oscars of the travel industry."

Winners are determined by votes cast by travel professionals and the public.
