Malaysia most Googled tourist destination by Vietnamese in 2024

The other was Europe in sixth position, according to Google’s Year in Search 2024 report released on Friday.

By October Malaysia had received 290,000 Vietnamese tourists in 2024, nearly equal to the 340,000 who visited in the whole of 2023.

Malaysia has recently become a favorite destination for Vietnamese travelers, thanks to affordable airfares.

But otherwise this year’s list was largely dominated by domestic destinations.

Vinh Hy Bay in the south-central province of Ninh Thuan ranked second, followed by Hoi An and Con Son Islet in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho.

Other destinations on the list included Gia Lai, Da Lat and Da Nang.
