Visitors to Xuan Thanh Beach in central Ha Tinh Province can now explore the area on horseback.

The foreign-backed Vabis Group on Sunday launched a horse riding club at Hoa Tien Paradise - Xuan Thanh Complex, located in Xuan Thanh Commune, Nghi Xuan District.

Twenty thoroughbred horses were imported from Saudi Arabia, Europe and Australia and raised in Nghi Xuan District to serve tourists, with activities including riding lessons and beach excursions on horseback.

The cost for a horse riding lesson and photo session ranges from VND200,000 ($8.67) to VND500,000 ($21.68) per 20-60 minutes.

Nguyen Ngoc My, chairman of Vabis Group, the project investor, said he had planned to bring horses to Nghi Xuan District for a long time, hoping to boost Ha Tinh's tourism sector with new experiences at Xuan Thanh Beach.

Hoa Tien Paradise - Xuan Thanh is a culture, tourism, sports and entertainment complex, which on completion would include 380 resort villas, 180 shophouses, a 128-site camping beach and five five-star hotels with 170 rooms each. The complex is expected to enter operation on April 30, the country's Reunification Day.

Once operational, visitors to Xuan Thanh Beach could also enjoy greyhound racing and horse performances, and participate in sports like beach volleyball, football, kayaking, jet skiing, paragliding, cycling and exploring the local food street at night.

In 2020, Ha Tinh welcomed 800,000 visitors, which dropped 79.2 percent compared to 2019 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
