Dubai International Airport has again beaten over 20 competitors, including Singapore’s Changi Airport, to win the title of “World’s Leading Airport” for 2024.

This is the fifth consecutive year that the airport is winning the World Travel Awards since taking over the baton from Changi in 2020.

With over 87 million passengers in 2023, Dubai International Airport remains one of the busiest globally.

Serving as the primary hub for Emirates airline, the airport handles nearly 100 carriers that fly to more than 240 destinations on six continents.

It also boasts facilities like zen gardens, an outdoor swimming pool, a gym, cinemas, diverse dining options, and a five-star hotel.

The World Travel Awards, established in 1993, celebrate excellence in the travel and tourism industry and are referred to as the "Oscars of the travel industry."

Winners are determined through votes cast by travel professionals and the public.
