Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur most popular summer destinations: Agoda

Rounding out the top 5 were Singapore and Tokyo, underscoring a preference for Asia-Pacific destinations during the summer months. This trend is based on an analysis of flights booked on Agoda between June and August this year, compared to the same period in 2023.

"This year’s summer currently shows a trend towards Asia-Pacific travel. Destinations like Bangkok, Seoul, and Kuala Lumpur continue to attract many travelers, reflecting their appeal and the diverse experiences they offer,"said Andrew Smith, Senior Vice President of Supply at Agoda.

Southeast Asian countries such as Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore have recently relaxed visa requirements to attract more foreigners.
