Changshin Vietnam, a South Korean-invested shoemaker and a Nike's supplier, plans to take 42,000 of its workers on a company trip to Da Lat from now until 2026.

An official from the Department of Culture and Information of Da Lat, a popular tourist city in Vietnam's Central Highlands, said this is the largest number of tourists the city has ever hosted.

The employees will be divided into smaller groups, with the first group set to arrive this Friday.

A representative from Changshin Vietnam said approximately 12,000 to 15,000 workers will visit Da Lat by the end of this year, with the remaining employees scheduled to make the trip over the following two years.

The first group of 800 employees is expected to visit well-known attractions in Da Lat, including the Valley of Love, Dream Hill, Truc Lam Zen Monastery, and enjoy traditional gong performances on a three-day tour.

A local service provider in Da Lat said the influx of 42,000 employees presents significant opportunities for the city's tourism industry, contributing to economic growth and sustainable development in the near future.

Dang Quang Tu, chairman of the Da Lat City People's Committee, sent a thank-you letter to the company's leadership last month, "expressing appreciation for the company's employee benefit policies" and pledged to offer the best possible services to the visitors.

Changshin Vietnam, which has been operating its leather goods and footwear factory since 1995, employs around 40,000 people, making it the largest employer in southern Dong Nai Province.

Recently, 4,500 tourists from Sun Pharmaceuticals, a major Indian company owned by Dilip Shanghvi, India's fifth-richest individual, visited Hanoi, Ninh Binh, and Ha Long Bay in northern Vietnam on an incentive tour.
