Photo of Mekong Delta grass harvest wins first prize at SkyPixel contest

Bang, which grows wildly in flooded fields in the delta, is used instead of plastic to produce straws.

This year's contest received 30,000 submissions from 124 countries and territories.

China's Zhu Jianxin won the SkyPixel Photograph of the Year award for his photo of a rare event, heavy snowfall in the Taklimakan Desert in Xinjiang.

The contest is organized by China’s DJI, the world's leading producer of camera drones, and the U.K.'s SkyPixel, the world’s most popular aerial photography community.
