Myanmar Airways International plans to start flying to Vietnam next month with regular services from Yangon to Hanoi and HCMC.

The Yangon-Hanoi service would begin on September 19, with two weekly flights, the private carrier announced on its website.

Ticket prices on the route cost from $187 per person.

Flights to HCMC, every Thursday, would begin on September 22.

Return tickets start as US$348.

Myanmar allowed international passenger flights to resume on April 17 after over two years.

Vietnam allows quarantine-free entry and resumed pre-pandemic e-visa and visa exemption policies on March 15.
