Guests can look forward to a blend of cultural activities, culinary delights, and festive experiences designed to honor the spirit of Vietnam's Lunar New Year.
Upon arrival, guests will be greeted with a special tradition: picking a red envelope, or li xi, from the receptionist's desk. Each envelope contains a surprise gift of varying value, symbolizing good fortune and blessings for the year ahead. This welcoming gesture offers an introduction to Vietnam's rich cultural heritage and sets the tone for a memorable Tet holiday.
Hands-on cultural activities
On Jan. 28, the day of Lunar New Year's Eve, visitors can immerse themselves in a hands-on experience at the Sea Stars MarketPlace, learning to craft banh chung—a traditional square-shaped rice cake. This iconic dish, made with glutinous rice, mung bean, and pork, represents family unity and abundance during Tet. Under the guidance of expert chefs, participants will create their own banh chung to take home as a token of luck for the upcoming year.
