On Wednesday, 150 foreign passengers arriving in the city via Singapore Airlines and Vietjet Air were the first to receive free Vinaphone 4G data SIM cards, which have 2GB of data and 1,000 minutes for making calls in 30 days.
Nguyen Thi Hoai An, director of Da Nang Tourism Promotion Agency, said the gift, which will be available from now until June, aims to create a good impression on foreign tourists to improve the city's tourism image, Vietnam News Agency reported.
Da Nang resumed international flights from March 27. Since then, its airport has welcomed 29 international flights carrying 2,560 passengers.
The airport soon expects 41 flights per week from Singapore, Japan, Thailand and Malaysia.
Vietnam reopened international tourism and allowed quarantine-free entry from March 15.
