Hong Kong carrier Cathay Pacific has bagged the "World's Cleanest Airline" title at the 2024 Skytrax World Airline Awards based on votes from 21 million passengers in 100 countries.

ANA All Nippon Airways was second followed by Eva Air, Qatar Airways and Singapore Airlines, British air transport rating organization Skytrax announced the awards at a ceremony earlier this week.

Passengers evaluated airlines based on the cleanliness of seat areas, tables, carpets, cabin panels, and toilets.

Last year ANA All Nippon Airways had won the award.

The awards, instituted in 1999, are widely regarded as a benchmark for airline excellence.
