Richard Michael Roll Burridge, 57, pleaded guilty to one count each of harassment and mischief in court on Thursday, according to The Straits Times.
Burridge expressed remorse for his actions and agreed to pay for the damage caused at the airport.
On March 8, while preparing to board a flight to London, Burridge realized he had misplaced his mobile phone.
He decided to leave the aircraft to search for it in the airport lounge where he had previously been, Channel News Asia reported.
An airline staff member at the gate-hold room told him not to leave, as the flight was close to departure. He was also warned that doing so would result in his removal from the flight.
Despite the warning, he shouted at the staff using abusive language and kicked a wall panel on the aerobridge, causing more than S$1,600 in damage. He then boarded the plane, but police were alerted and asked him to disembark to assist with investigations.
He complied, and the flight departed Singapore without delay.
